Festive Chefs Selection
With the festive season on our door step, it's time for our Sales Manager for Central Scotland, Blair Agnew to bring you his festive favourites in this month's Chefs Selection...
Braehead Foods has everything you need to have your best Christmas Dinner ever! Be it traditional Turkey, Goose, Beef, Duck, and the trimmings, or our amazing Vegan and Vegetarian range, we can support you throughout this Christmas period.
Our Production Kitchen team are hard at work preparing for the festive period.
Our Parfaits and Terrines are an easy way to start of your Christmas dinner. My recommendation is our Chicken Liver Parfait and for our Vegan and Veggie customers, our Wild Mushroom Cannellini Bean and Spring Onion Terrine. These starters are both full of flavour and a really easy to prep ahead of service.
My recommendation this Christmas season is our beautiful Turkey Roulade wrapped in Serrano Ham. This will give you beautiful turkey breast with our amazing range of stuffing's. My personal favourite being cranberry and apple stuffing. This can be served with our beautiful dauphinoise potato and seasonal turned vegetables.
No traditional festive meal would be complete without Chipolata's wrapped in pancetta or streaky bacon.
An fantastic alternative to Turkey would be our delicious Full Beef Wellington. This full flavoured Wellington is a show stopper at any festive party and for that extra je ne sais quoi, carve it tableside.
This can be served with essential cuisines beef jus which will further enhance the already tender fillet. Served with our Production Kitchen fondant potatoes and veg, it is sure to be talked about long after the festive period.
For our Vegan and Vegetarian friends we have stunning products this festive season ranging from tarts to gazpachos . The stand out in the range is the Harissa, Kale, Vegan Feta and Butternut Squash Strudel. This tasty and delicate strudel if stuffed full of flavour and is a real crowd pleaser.
For dessert look no further than our Sticky Toffee pudding or Banana Sponge pudding and our full range of Arran Dairies Ice Creams. At this time of year our clementine ripple is my personal favourite.
