Award-winning artisan preserves

Handcrafted in small batches

Made using 100% natural ingredients

Established in 1945, Heather Hills Farm is a traditional family-run honey farm based in the Highlands of Perthshire - the heartland of Scotland. They specialise in a selection of 100% pure, raw, monofloral and polyfloral honeys and handmade preserves.

Starting off with just one hive in 1945, they now have 1300 hives across Perthshire and Deeside - the most beautiful and unpolluted parts of the UK. This relatively small-scale ensures their hives are regularly and well spaced out in small batches by zones. This means that the bees have plenty of opportunity to roam - up to a 5 mile radius of each hive - giving a superior quality product. A bigger producer would normally cram around 100 hives into the same space – this reducing the quality of the product.

In an age of mass production and bulk processing, their honey is collected and extracted using traditional methods to ensure that the enzymes, protein and natural goodness of the honey stays within it and are not destroyed during the harvesting, separating or bottling processes. This produces artisan, raw honeys of a far superior quality and distinctive flavour which retain their natural  benefits.

The award-winning Scottish preserves are extra fruit jams made with local Perthshire fruit and cane sugar. Produced in small batches by hand, they contain no artificial flavours or preservatives.

Scottish Heather Honey with Whisky 113g x 15

Delicious Scottish Heather Honey, traditionally gathered from wild flowering heather in the Scottish Highlands since 1945, infused with the rich taste of the classic Eastern Highlander 10 year old single malt from Edradour from the local distillery in Pitlochry.

This single malt is rather unique with a decidely rum-like dram of sherry, barley and toasted almonds that ends with spiced fruitcake with creme anglaise - it complements the Scottish Heather Honey perfectly, enhancing its warm, assertive smoky palate and endless, floral finish.

Use in desserts and in ice cream.

Scottish Blossom Honey 113g x 15

In the spring of each year, Heather Hills put their hives on the famous soft fruit farms of the local Perthshire area, where the honey bees have been pollinating blossoms for over 60 years. Pollination is essential in producing the perfect berry - in size, shape, colour, texture and flavour. In turn, the bees gather the nectar to produce their Scottish Blossom Honey.

Raw, unpasteurised and unfiltered, this light, soft-set honey has a mild palate and velvety, melt-in-the-mouth texture, ending with a long, sweet tangy finish bursting with fruit.

Scottish Heather Honey 113g x 15

Known as the 'Champagne' of all honeys, Scottish Heather Honey - Heather Hills Farm's signatory honey - is dark and semi-set.  A highly intense, distinctive, warm, woody and floral aroma reminiscent of the Scottish Highlands. An assertive, full-bodied, warm, smoky palate of toffee with underlying notes of plum and coffee. The finish is endless, deep, malty and floral with a tanginess that lingers. Use as a glaze for pork, ham, game, poultry, salmon and trout, and also in cakes, bread and ice cream. Pair with Stilton, Cheedar, Scottish Crowdie or a semi-aged Goat's Cheese.
