We are pleased to announce
that we have achieved the Investors in Young People Accreditation,
the only people management standard that focuses on an employer's
recruitment and retention of young people. This represents a true
commitment to the training and development of young people and
demonstrates Braehead Foods as an employer of choice for young
IIYP originated through a key recommendation from the Commission
for Developing Scotland's Young Workforce, led by Sir Ian Wood.
Offered to all businesses across Scotland, the award recognises and
supports organisations in the employment of young people.
Having now achieved the accreditation, Braehead Foods is now
eligible to use and display the Investors in Young People logo and
plaque, and enjoy its benefits.
Commenting on the award, Emma Brown, HR Manager said, "With more

delighted to be recognised for our commitment to the training and
development of young people."
Braehead Foods, based at Moorfield Park, Kilmarnock is one of
Scotland's largest independent food wholesalers and have been
supplying Chefs across the UK and Europe with the finest quality
ingredients for almost 20 years.
A family business since 1999, they employ almost 150 people and
supplying quality chilled, ambient and frozen foods, as well as
bespoke products made for chefs, by chefs in their Production
