Sales Manager (Glasgow)

We are seeking to recruit a determined and passionate Sales Manager to cover Glasgow and west central Scotland.

About the role:

Our highly skilled and dedicated Sales Team is crucial to the success of the business. Reporting to the Commercial Director, you will be an integral part of a team of committed and passionate Sales Managers. The role will require you to both gain new business, and to retain and grow our existing business in Glasgow and the surrounding area.

All of our sales team are knowledgeable and passionate about the food service industry. Many are qualified Chefs, a formula which has driven excellent results for the business. You will therefore either bring your skills and experienced as a senior chef or your customer management expertise to further enhance the team's skill set. This is your opportunity to use that skill and knowledge in bringing your passion for food to life in a very different and challenging way.

You will need the ability to win an audience with and then to influence hard-to-reach decision makers in our industry.  Professionalism, determination and a genuine passion for all things food-related will be key to your success. You will meet and beat your targets by engaging new customers and developing solutions to meet their needs.

You will need:

  • A good knowledge of the foodservice sector and our customer base, to assist in identifying and pursuing new opportunities.

Warehouse Nightshift Manager, Kilmarnock

This is an excellent opportunity to join the team at Braehead Foods at an exciting time for the company. The company is undergoing continued and rapid growth and needs a dynamic and committed team. We are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Nightshift Manager to join our team.

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Responsibility on van loading accuracy
  • Work closely with other departments, including telesales and transport
  • Keep stock control up to date
  • General house keeping to ensure a hygienic and safe working environment
  • Observing all health and safety rules and conducting yourself responsibly at all times
  • Competent use of our systems including stock management
  • Safe use of all equipment in the warehouse including ladders, machinery and fork lift trucks where appropriate
  • Organise the recruitment and training of staff, as well as monitoring staff performance and progress
  • Motivate, organise and encourage teamwork within the workforce to ensure productivity targets are met or exceeded
  • Produce regular reports and statistics on a daily, weekly and monthly basis
  • Brief team leaders on a daily basis

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous warehouse experience
  • Previous management experience
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Knowledge of legal requirements
  • Planning and organisational skills
  • People management skills
  • Problem solving skills
  • Fork lift truck licence would be beneficial
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

Hours of work: 40 hours per week, 5 days over 7. Shifts are 8pm-5am

Salary: £23,000 per annum
