History

The story so far……

1998 - Craig Stevenson joined Braehead Foods while it was a small supplier of game products based on a farm on the Craufurdland Estate, Ayrshire.


1999
- "He loved the business so much, he bought it"  achieving £1m turnover in the first year.


2000
- Bought 'The Real Cheese Company' to develop an extensive range of cheeses.


2002
- Moved to larger premises in Kilmarnock and continued to grow the business across Scotland and the UK, and achieved EEC approval to supply Europe.


2008
- Moved to a purpose built 35,000sqft warehouse and factory (10 times the size of our previous site) on a new business park in Kilmarnock.


2009
- Set up 'The Cook School Scotland' led by Head Chef Phil Lewis.


2010
- Opened 'the Production Kitchen' to provide chefs a source of high quality purpose made products made by chefs for chefs.
